Introducing the Uromastyx

The uromastyx is also called spiny-tailed lizard is a vegetarian exotic pet that needs a lot of space to be comfortable , so we provide a suitable place to live in perfect condition.

The uromastyx grows to 50 inches and in the terrarium must recreate their natural habitat . To do this , you must install a cave where sleep and shelter- and need another sunbathing area , which may be under a light bulb with a temperature between 45 and 55 degrees, because your body needs warmth . The heat source should be installed at a safe distance from the animal to avoid having physical contact and suffer injuries.

We also put a good UVB lighting for our uromastyx properly synthesize vitamin D3; also will include top and side vents. As for daily cleaning , you must remove the leftovers so they do not decompose and their droppings. The crystals will clean with mild soap and water and to clarify well to remove all traces .

As for feeding uromastyx , your diet consists of fruit and vegetables because it is a herbivore pet: likes turnips, cabbage, red cabbage , green beans , parsley, etc. . We can also give insects because they have lots of protein, much like baby bearded dragons . If not well tolerated we can replace tofu. No need plenty of water but at times like after deworming or when the female lays eggs itself require drinking large quantities.
